Its time to go to bed and you cant fall asleep. Why is this? There are millions of people who are unable to sleep well. Some will even lay in bed for hours waiting for the sandman to come. Trying to find ways to fall asleep will drive you absolutely insane. I am going to show you a few easy ways to fall asleep.
The first method is Meditation. Meditation is very simple and will help you fall asleep fast. When you meditate you need to find a quite place where you can spend 15-20 minutes consciously allowing yourself to relax. This means no cell phone, no tv, no kids, and most importantly no stress.
When you decide to meditate you should find a comfortable position( doesn’t have to be the hippie Indian style) But it looks a lot cooler, but being comfortable is the main objective here. Next close your eyes and focus on relaxing your whole body. Think about how the different parts of your body feel. Keep a slow, steady, and rhythmic breathing pattern. Focus on your mind and extract all the pointless and uncontrolled thoughts. Find a way to mentally slow everything down as you are in the moment “NOW” and nothing else matters. Meditation brings your body to a relaxed state and will allow you to release the stress of the day making it a lot easier to fall asleep fast.
Secondly I highly recommend taking a hot shower or bath. This is a very effective way to relax your body. The heat will increase your core temperature. After your body heats up it will then begin to cool down. The drop in body temperature is what’s going to help you find ways to fall asleep.
Finally, Make that room pitch black. It is proven that people sleep a lot better when the light in a room is kept to a minimum. When are eyes and face are exposed to light there are pheromones that are released telling us to wake up. So the darker the better, that included any lights from computers or tv’s should be covered as well.
